The game servers will be updated and compatible with version 1.23 of the DOFUS client starting 04/15/08 at 9:00am GMT+2.
Here is the list of changes brought by the new version 1.23.0:
Percepteurs:
The percepteur system has been entirely revised. Feel free to read this article on the DOFUS Devblog to learn more.
Guilds get 5 boost points per level as soon as guild level 2 is obtained. New characteristics can be increased for percepteurs:
Prospecting (starting: 100, maximum: 500, progression: 1 for 1)
Wisdom (starting: 0, maximum: 400, progression: 1 for 1)
Pods (starting: 1000, max: 5000, progression: 1 for 20)
Spells (12 spells with 5 levels each, i.e. 60 levels, progression: 5 points per spell level)
Number of percepteurs (starting: 1, maximum: 50, progression: 10 points per additional percepteur)
How percepteurs work is changed:
Percepteurs no longer steal players' loot. They act as an additional player, who takes their share (regardless of their prospecting) last. The percepteur's prospecting is not taken into account in the total prospecting calculation for player groups. The percepteur's prospecting only serves to increase its own probability of getting items.
Percepteurs no longer steal experience from players. They gain experience at the end of the fight (like a player whose level is calculated relative to the average level of the player group). Percepteurs' experience gains do not influence those of other players.
Items as well as the experience gained are stored on the percepteurs. It is necessary to collect the percepteurs' inventory to retrieve the accumulated items as well as the experience.
When a percepteur is collected, it is automatically removed from the map, and the usual redeployment delays are applied.
When a percepteur is defeated, the experience it had accumulated is distributed among the different guilds of the characters who won the fight. If none of the attackers had a guild, the experience is lost.
Percepteur placement delay:
A guild cannot place a percepteur on a map where it just lost a percepteur before a time equal to 10 minutes per guild level.
The one-hour delay between two percepteur placements on the same map is removed.
All points spent on the old percepteur characteristics are reset.
Spells:
Saverne's Breath: the MP loss is effective across the entire targeted area on a critical hit.
Strength of Age: the MP gain is now displayed and taken into account by the DOFUS client.
The behavior and spells of the Dopeul Sacrieur summon (spell available at level 200) are improved.
Monsters:
The calculation that lets monsters and summons determine their probability of leaving a tackle zone is fixed. Monsters and summons will less often attempt to leave a tackle zone if the probability of them succeeding is too low.
The attraction spell of the Dopeuls, the Pandits, Edasse the Party Pooper, the Pokipik, the Kol'nenfan, and Padgref Demoël is fixed
Airborne Bitouf: the Pernicious Tornado spell is fixed (the spell pushes back the same number of cells on a normal hit and on a critical hit).
Aermyne Scalptaras is now present in the Terrdala zone, and activating the follower character works correctly.
Monsters that have the "Mole's Eye" spell can now correctly use it on enemies.
Drunk Pandawas and Pandalettes: their "Drinking Bout" spell is fixed.
Territory conquest:
Characters located on maps where aggressions are impossible (zaaps for example) are no longer taken into account when calculating the alignment balance in sub-zones.
Characters fighting monsters are no longer taken into account when calculating the alignment balance in sub-zones.
Only characters whose "player versus player" mode is enabled are taken into account to determine the alignment balance
Miscellaneous:
The Seth Sourcet NPC now only sells a single cherry.
The step dialogues of the "Kartier Tremai comes clean" quest are fixed.
Fixes to various map issues (cells that should not have been accessible for example).
The forgetting potions for percepteurs are adapted to the latest changes made to the percepteur system.
Guild house potions can be used from the house located on map 1603.
In the Allister castle militia (now shown on the game map), a new NPC lets you change alignment more easily. The price to change alignment is now indexed to players' level. This price has also been reduced. Only one alignment change every two weeks can be made at most per character. Changing to the minority alignment is now free.
Fragments of the Reinette, Coco, Indigo, and Griotte keys can now only be obtained in the original room of these monsters. It is no longer possible to retrieve these items during arena fights.
The Koulosse map is now considered a dungeon map (instant monster respawn after starting a fight).
Obvijevans no longer use phrases that do not match their type (a Ring using a hat's phrase for example).
Items obtained at the end of combat no longer change order when scrolling through the player list.
Location links ("%pos%") are limited to 5 uses per message.
It is no longer possible to reach the floor of the Astrub mercenaries' house via teleportation.
Female Iop characters no longer change size when using the "cross arms" attitude.
The fixed Abraknyde group located on map 1869 (Tainéla) is removed.
The guard of the Astrub prison now uses the correct dialogues when capturing Aermyne 'Braco' Scalptaras.
The guard of the Brâkmar prison no longer confuses Brâkmarians and Bontarians.
The percepteur harvest message "Collect the harvest" becomes "Collect the harvest and remove the percepteur".
NPCs correctly display the price of items they buy for 0 kamas.
The animation scripts that were freezing the client in the larva dungeon and the Gelaxeventh dimension are removed.
