News ### DOFUS - version 1.5

Presentation of the changes brought in version 1.5 (02/08/2005).

**Guilds **You can create or join your guild, reserve its name and get recognized by other players. As the next updates come, guild features will be expanded and will help strengthen the interest of PvP (player versus player combat).

To create a guild, you will need to complete several steps that we'll let you discover. But we can already tell you that although a single player can create a guild, they will need to gather at least 9 other companions around them for the guild to be active and able to benefit from its new powers.

Finally, percepteurs placed by guilds can be attacked at any time. It is up to the guilds to ensure their protection if they do not want to see them destroyed.

**Books **Amakna's Library will gradually be enriched with Books and Scrolls that will let you discover the tales and legends of Amakna, its History and quests to complete. Note: the 3 winners of the Christmas tales contest (in addition to their unique item) will see their texts included in the library.

Thanks to the books, you will be able to complete various quests or missions. The books will also let you learn more about the game's features.

**Surprises **As always, and even more so this time, we have prepared surprises for you all over the game. Some will be very important and may faithfully accompany you on your travels... ;)

Improvements

• **New region **You will discover it for yourself, the province of Amakna will expand to the west. Naturally, new monsters and new missions await you there. Other areas have been created... it's up to you to discover them!
• **New professions **In fact, these are specializations of "rune-mage" type professions. You will be able to modify the characteristics of existing weapons.
• **New cartography **To go along with the expansion of the universe, how the map of Amakna works has been revised. You can view the entire world and zoom in on areas.
• **Replacement of runes with Zaaps **Runes will be replaced by waypoints called Zaaps. They let you travel to different points in the world, and the transport cost depends on the distance to travel.

These new features require updating the Dofus client. If you use the version with Updater, the update is automatic. Otherwise, the new version is available at this address: http://telechargement.dofus.com.
