Here is the non-exhaustive list of additions and changes brought by update 1.17:

Graphics:

The maps of the Amakna area have been revised, the visual appearance of buildings and vegetation has been improved.

Professions:
  • It is now possible to repeat a recipe in a loop, by specifying the number of items to create.

  • Artisans now have a maximum success percentage for recipes whose complexity (number of cells) is strictly less than the maximum complexity of the recipes they can create by three cells.

  • Artisans no longer gain experience on recipes whose complexity (number of cells) is strictly less than the maximum complexity of the recipes they can create by three cells.

  • Experience gains when completing high-complexity recipes are increased.

Example: a level 60 artisan (able to make 6-cell recipes) will no longer gain experience by making 1-, 2-, and 3-cell recipes, but will have a 99% success rate when making 1-, 2-, and 3-cell recipes. On the other hand, they will gain much more experience by making 4-, 5-, and 6-cell recipes.

Rune-crafting:
  • Signature runes are no longer considered a non-natural bonus, and no longer degrade rune-crafting odds.

  • The minimum probability of changing element on a weapon goes from 5 to 10%.

  • The success probability when rune-crafting an item is increased.

  • The success probability when adding non-natural bonuses (bonuses that were not originally present on the item) in rune-crafting is increased.

  • It is no longer possible to gain experience when a rune-crafting attempt fails.

  • Rune-mages now have a base success rate of 94% (so they are considered master artisans) when improving items whose level is lower than or equal to their rune-crafting level. They have the normal success rate (depending on their rune-crafting level) when improving items whose level is higher than their rune-crafting level.

  • Rune-mages cannot modify items whose level is more than double their rune-crafting skill level.

Monsters:
  • Dark Bakers can no longer aggress players.

  • Dark Blacksmiths can no longer aggress players.

  • Dark Miners can no longer aggress players.

  • The characteristics and spells of all resource guardians have been changed.

  • The elemental resistances as well as the damage of the Knights have been increased.

The quantity of the following monsters has been increased in the dragoegg sanctuary area:
  • Ignerkocropos the Starving

  • Aerotrugobur the Malevolent

  • Aqualikros the Merciless

  • Terraburkal the Treacherous

  • The "/me" shortcut lets you display, in-game, text between two asterisks, and announce it in the general chat channel, as an action.

  • Double-clicking an item in the inventory automatically equips it.

  • It is now possible to leave a queue.

  • Spells and the equipped weapon now display, in addition to their base critical hit probabilities, their actual critical hit probabilities (based on agility, equipment bonuses, alignment, and the character's current boosts).

  • A button has been added to the combat interface to enable "transparency" mode.

  • A button has been added to the combat interface to disable the display of monsters and players, in order to correctly target cells behind large monsters.

  • During item creation in cooperative mode, artisans can now preview the characteristics of the item they just crafted.

  • A new information tab is available directly on the DOFUS client's login page, letting you quickly access the latest information about server status and maintenance.

  • Tremor: the spell's area of effect is no longer unlimited.

  • Poisoned Wind: the spell's area of effect is no longer unlimited.

  • The Overpowered: summoned Rogues no longer remove range, but can decrease enemies' resistance to action point loss. The maximum number of movement points Rogues can remove goes from 3 to 2.

  • The Blocker: hit points, agility, and resistances are increased at all levels of the spell.
