Optimizations and performance:
- Inventory management has been optimized: the speed of inventory display and refresh has been considerably increased. The time needed to equip an item, for example, is reduced by about 75%. A new option allows disabling the maximum frame-rate cap for DOFUS clients that are not active (or that don't have focus).
- Under the "Low" preset quality setting (selectable from the game's options menu), the world map interface is no longer cached after opening. This change reduces the client's memory usage after opening the world map for users playing under the "Low" preset quality, at the cost of world map opening speed. This option will be configurable independently of the preset quality choice in an upcoming patch.
- Memory used for the death animations of monsters that die in combat is now properly freed at the end of combat. Fixing this memory leak reduces the DOFUS client's memory usage.
Interfaces:
- The DOFUS client window now flashes in the taskbar when the client is not active (does not have focus) and the played character is attacked or begins a combat turn.
- Inventory sorting and filtering features have been improved and fixed; items are now correctly sorted, filtered, and refreshed in inventories.
- Update notes are now displayed correctly when the client launches (an opaque background has been added to improve text readability).
- The appearance of the chat interface has been improved, with a new background added for the channel selection boxes and tabs. A new border has been added to the right side of the interface when it is maximized.
- The behavior of the arrow-shaped buttons for changing pages in the real estate agency interface has been improved; it is no longer possible to access pages that should not be accessible.
- The notifications interface has been shifted vertically so it no longer overlaps with the chat interface when maximized.
- In the characteristics interface, links to professions now work correctly: the professions interface now displays the chosen professions.
- In the chat interface, successive shortcuts (such as "/g /w Anitabernak" for example) are now correctly handled and no longer disrupt the chat interface's behavior.
- A tooltip has been added to the button for minimizing the inventory size.
- A confirmation window is now available when putting a plot up for sale.
- Negative action points and movement points are now displayed correctly next to the character portrait in the bottom bar interface.
- In the NPC shop and merchant mode interfaces, item names are now correctly truncated based on the space taken up by their price display.
- Characters whose name contains only two characters are now correctly handled. These characters can once again be invited, added to friends lists, and receive private messages, for example.
- In the spell bar or item bar interfaces, the up arrow at position 1/5 and the down arrow at position 5/5 are now correctly grayed out to indicate that they are not interactive.
- The emoticon ("smiley") interface is now correctly resized.
- The item display panel in the inventory is now correctly updated when the selected item changes (when a pet is fed, for example).
- In the server selection interface, the "Choose for me" button now works correctly.
- In the server selection interface, servers are sorted by population and the term "Full" has been replaced with "High."
- In the server selection interface, if there is no server for the player's community, international servers are displayed.
- In the server selection interface, for non-subscribed players, servers they cannot access are no longer marked with a red dot but with a blue dot and an explanatory tooltip.
- In the character creation interface, the "Cancel" button now works correctly.
- In the alignment grimoire interface, the honor and dishonor gauges now fill correctly.
- On the login interface, tooltips are now correctly displayed when hovering over hovered elements (they are no longer all displayed below the connection port change area).
- The display of the terms of use now works correctly in all languages available for the DOFUS client.
- On the alignment interface, a button has been added to directly open the global map on the "Conquest" tab, to more quickly check the status of the various aligned zones.
Combat:
- Characters or monsters resurrected in combat now enter the zombie state. For now, this state is only used to more explicitly indicate which characters or monsters have been resurrected.
- It is once again possible to select a target during the placement phase.
- When cell-based selection mode is enabled, the player's character no longer disrupts cell selection after casting a spell.
- When monsters take their turn, they now wait for each spell animation to finish before casting another spell or moving. This change fixes issues where monsters would chain actions far too quickly, making it impossible to visually tell which actions had been performed. Prism guards:
- It is once again possible to defend a prism guard with two characters in a dungeon.
Shortcuts:
- Keyboard shortcuts for opening the guild and mount interfaces are disabled when these interfaces are not available (if the character has no guild or mount).
- The "Escape" key now works correctly to close the level-up interface.
Miscellaneous:
- Items placed on the ground once again have a tooltip displaying their description.
- On the world map, white lines are no longer visible when zooming.
- Monsters with a Pandawa appearance are no longer displayed in gray when they take on the appearance associated with the "Tipsy" state.
- Map-change issues are no longer sent to all characters present on the map.
- Characters can once again be invited to a group after declining an invitation from a character who disconnected before receiving the invitation response.
Known issues:
- When a weapon is unequipped, it returns to its original spot in the inventory instead of being moved to the beginning of the inventory.
