Dragon Pig dungeon rework: The areas of Porcos Island, the Dragon Pig labyrinth, and the Dragon Pig dungeon, as well as all the monsters that populate them, are improved and entirely reworked graphically to closely match the episode of the Wakfu cartoon that takes place in the Dragon Pig dungeon. We took advantage of this graphical overhaul to add a new monster to fight, a new set to craft, and a new emote to obtain. Restorative Orb: A Restorative Orb (which allows you to redistribute your stat points) is given to all subscribed and formerly subscribed accounts. We're offering this item to make it easier to change synergies and roles within teams following the changes applied to classes in this update. Items and sets:

  • 37 new items linked to the Frigost episodes 1 and 2 expansions are added.
  • Fère Headgear: the recipe is fixed.
  • The "Grants a title" effect is now visible in item effects.
  • Royal Coco Blop Cloak: the % Fire resistance bonus is replaced by a % Air resistance bonus. This change is not retroactive.
  • Ayassalama Saber: the weapon can now be equipped by Rogues.
  • Hulco Cape (Cra class cape): the "Reduces the AP cost of the Flaming Arrow spell by 1" effect is replaced by removal of the spell's line-of-sight requirement. The change is retroactive.
  • Deuradi Boots (Cra class boots): the "Reduces the AP cost of the Magic Arrow spell by 1" effect is replaced by a 15 critical hit bonus on the spell. The change is retroactive.
  • The Explosive set and the Lunatic set, Rogue and Masqueraider class sets, are now available.
  • Brageut Staff: the weapon now costs 5 AP. Its critical hit bonus goes from 5 to 6.
  • Brelle Staff: the critical hit rate goes from 1/40 to 1/50.
  • Youyettes: the critical hit bonus goes from 8 to 6.
  • Hique Wand: the critical hit bonus goes from 6 to 4.
  • Fik Shovel: the critical hit rate goes from 1/40 to 1/50. Its critical hit bonus goes from 5 to 4.
  • Kadille Sword: the critical hit bonus goes from 7 to 5.
  • Frost Scepter: the critical hit bonus goes from 8 to 6.
  • Glourseleste Set: it is now impossible to have more than 15 Tackle bonus to wear the set's items. Tackle bonuses obtained via Agility are not taken into account.
  • Glourseleste Amulet: a new equip requirement is added; it is now impossible to have more than 559 Intelligence, Chance, or Agility to be able to equip it.

A Devblog article on this topic is available: [Devblog: Frigost weapon changes] Dungeon progress saving: A new system now lets you save your dungeon progress so you can interrupt a dungeon, lose a battle, and resume at any time without having to start over from the beginning. Two dungeons do not benefit from this system due to their special mechanics: the Gelaxy Dimension and the Pet Sanctuary. A Devblog article on this topic is available: [Devblog: Dungeon progress saving] Tax Collectors:

  • Tax Collectors can now be placed in the last room of a dungeon.
  • Defending a Tax Collector in a dungeon can now be done with 7 characters.
  • It's no longer possible to use several accounts on the same machine to attack or defend the same Tax Collector.
  • A character must now respect a one-hour delay between two attacks on the same Tax Collector.
  • In the Tax Collectors' context menu, the "Attack" option is grayed out if the Tax Collector cannot be attacked.
  • It is now possible to see the list of attackers and defenders in a Tax Collector battle from the guild interface, even after the battle has started.
  • In the social interface, the defenders and attackers of a Tax Collector currently in battle are now displayed.
  • In the social interface, when a Tax Collector is attacked, it is now possible to join and leave the defense several times.

A Devblog article on this topic is available: [Devblog: Dungeon Tax Collector rework] Deterministic Tackle:

  • The Tackle system is changed to be deterministic. The results of a flee or tackle attempt are now completely predictable and no random component comes into play. We put this new system in place to strengthen the game's tactical aspect and make battles much less static. A Devblog article on this topic is available: [Devblog: Deterministic Tackle]
  • The Tackle value of targets is now displayed when hovering over them.
  • It is now possible to move in a single action even when the path taken crosses opponents who could tackle. This change speeds up movement in combat.
  • Invisible entities can no longer tackle or be tackled by opponents.
  • Rogue illusions can tackle their opponent, but they are destroyed right after tackling. If a Rogue tackles an opponent while having active illusions, they will be destroyed.

Optimizations and performance:

  • The animations of Sacrier and Eniripsa spell effects are entirely reworked and optimized.
  • The "Show animated scenery elements" option is now taken into account without needing to change maps. In addition, animated scenery elements are automatically disabled during battles to improve performance.
  • The following headgear items are optimized and readjusted on characters' heads:
    • Krepite
    • The Bear
    • Father Nowel's Hat
    • Bimd'Oule
    • Holoune
    • Golden / Sapphire / Black Dragon Headgear
    • Dragueuse Hat
    • Flying Dragoegg Headgear
    • Master Nabur's Helmet
    • Sulik
    • Piruk
    • Kaskargo
  • The Minimino and Miniminotot pets are entirely reworked and optimized.
  • The Ink Veil equipment is optimized.
  • The animations of the level 100 and 200 power auras are entirely reworked.

Archmonsters: Archmonsters that are killed without being captured can now reappear immediately (their respawn delay is zero). They remain subject, however, to the other monster spawning constraints (probability of appearing in a group and available slot on a map for a new group). Trade system: The trade system is improved and now displays both characters' pod gauges. They are updated with every item move and show the fill state of the gauges after the trade. This makes it possible to precisely anticipate the consequences of an item exchange. Trade validation now takes into account the value of each character's pod gauges after the trade. For example, it becomes possible to trade 1000 pods worth of items for 1000 pods worth of items between two characters with full inventories. Exotic rune-crafting and maximum AP/MP/range values:

  • A character can no longer stack more than 1 AP, 1 MP, and 1 range from "exotic" rune-crafting bonuses (bonuses that were not originally present on the item). Additional bonuses are not taken into account. Temporary spell bonuses are not affected by this change.
  • A character can now no longer stack, with their equipment and base values combined, more than 12 AP, 6 MP, and 9 range. Additional bonuses are not taken into account. Temporary spell bonuses are not affected by this change.

A Devblog article on this topic is available: [Devblog: New AP/MP/range restrictions] Challenges:

  • Challenges once again work correctly even when a monster is resurrected by another monster.
  • Challenges obtained against dungeon bosses are now saved for 24 hours following a defeat or a surrender.
  • The Anchorite challenge no longer fails when a Pandawa ends their turn while carrying a character.
  • The Unpredictable challenge no longer indicates a target outside a character's turn.

Combat:

  • The "Action impossible in combat" error message that sometimes appeared at the start of a Tax Collector battle is removed.
  • It is no longer possible to capture bosses in dungeons during a battle with more than 2 characters where more than half of the characters have surrendered.
  • Using invisible mode (displaying only colored circles) no longer temporarily freezes battles when performing actions.
  • When a character changes equipment and therefore initiative during the preparation phase, the "Timeline" and the numbering of combatants is correctly updated.
  • The turn counter now works correctly even when the first combatant dies.
  • After reconnecting during combat, interactive elements, map coordinates, and the sub-area name are correctly displayed.
  • After reconnecting during combat on a house interior map, the correct map is now displayed (the Kanojedo's exterior map is no longer displayed by default).
  • New informative messages are displayed when it is not possible to fight a group of monsters.
  • The stats interface could sometimes remain displayed in combat (with no way to dismiss it). This issue is fixed.
  • The portrait of a summon in the "Timeline" is now always displayed as soon as the summoning spell finishes casting (it was sometimes only displayed at the end of the summoner's turn).

Quick equipment:

  • Dissociating, associating, or changing the appearance of an Obvijevan no longer removes it from a quick-equip set after reconnecting.
  • Feeding a pet no longer removes it from a quick-equip set after reconnecting.
  • When creating a new quick-equip set, the icon is automatically placed in any free slot on the shortcut bar.

Rune-crafting:

  • The weight of the following effects is reduced:
    • Pushback damage resistance.
    • Critical damage resistance.
    • Pushback damage bonus.

Professions:

  • NPCs linked to the quest for learning Alchemy no longer detail certain recipes — since these recipes are known by all alchemists, their presentation had become unnecessary.
  • NPCs who teach the various professions now correctly account for the fact that several professions can be learned without a minimum required level.

Tracking and PvP:

  • The restriction on using several accounts from the same machine during a tracking battle once again works correctly.
  • The coordinates shown in the message reporting a prism attack are now clickable to display an annotation on the map.
  • Several issues related to the prism interface that prevented joining the battle in certain cases are fixed.

Interfaces:

  • The item purchase message (in the chat interface) from an NPC or at the auction house now displays the quantity, the item's name (interactive), and the total price in Kamas.
  • A new message is displayed in the chat interface when trying to use an item that grants energy points while the character already has full energy.
  • It is now possible to change the price or quantity of items present in a character's merchant mode.
  • The cursor used for dialogues when hovering over NPCs no longer displays once an NPC is no longer being hovered over.
  • Changes to spell cooldowns granted by certain class set items are now correctly taken into account in the spell casting bar.

  • On the character selection interface, the deletion confirmation text for a character is fixed.
  • In the NPC buy/sell interface, choosing a large quantity works correctly again.
  • In the social interface, after adding yourself as a defender of an attacked Tax Collector, starting a battle no longer causes inappropriate messages in the chat interface.

  • The spell and alignment interfaces are now only refreshed when necessary, rather than on every health point gained by the character.
  • In the chat interface, displaying messages containing a link whose URL includes an apostrophe no longer alters the appearance of the chat interface.

Breeding:

  • The mount selection in the breeding interface is no longer removed when a Dragoturkey's information is automatically updated.
  • The numeric aggressiveness/serenity value of a mount is now visible directly from the mount's info sheet without hovering over the corresponding gauge.

  • Silf the Major Rasboul:

Class Temple Dopples: The level 180 and 200 Ecaflip Dopple now has the Dopple's Rasping Tongue spell at level 5. Artificial intelligence:

  • The AI better handles useless spells in case of the target's death. For example, the Baby Dragon will no longer disenchant if it can kill its target without disenchanting it.
  • The AI more effectively handles situations where it must cancel casting a spell to hit multiple targets because it won't be able to succeed at fleeing afterward. For example, a Legendary Boufmouth cornered by a tackler will no longer pass its turn trying to hit a character hidden by the tackler. The Legendary Boufmouth will directly attack the tackler instead.
  • The AI more effectively handles spells cast on sacrificed targets.
  • The AI more effectively handles spells whose damage scales with the number of available MP (the Pulsar spell for the Rogue Dopple, for example).
  • The AI better handles spells that must be cast diagonally and that only have a line-shaped effect. The Masqueraider Dopple, for example, more effectively uses the Cabriole spell.
  • The AI more effectively handles spells with a perpendicular line casting zone. The Frostiz Maho, for example, more effectively uses the Fourapain spell.
  • The AI better handles teleportation spells and no longer tries to access unreachable cells.
  • The AI better handles chains of placing, pushing, and triggering bombs.
  • The AI correctly handles interrupted movement and the MP loss caused by an immobilization trap.
  • The AI better handles spell reflection when several targets are reachable thanks to the spell's area of effect.
  • The AI accounts for position changes if it is sacrificed and about to take damage due to a damage reflection.

Dungeons:

  • The level of dungeon bosses is now no longer random (except for Master Corbac). The maximum rank will be used by default.
  • Amakna Castle Rat Dungeon: it is now possible to enter the dungeon using the Key Ring or by using a Key to the Amakna Castle Rat Dungeon. The keys obtained at the end of the Bonta and Brakmar Rat dungeons are converted into resources and can be traded. They can be used to craft the Key to the Amakna Castle Rat Dungeon.
  • Soft Oak Dungeon: Irascible-type monsters are replaced by their standard type, and Sick Abraknydes are replaced by Venerable Abraknydes. The composition of the Soft Oak's group is changed and now includes: one Soft Oak, one Healing Branch, one Summoning Branch, three Dark Abraknydes, and two Dark Abraknes. Each room now has twelve placement positions.
  • Abraknyde Dungeon: the composition of the groups in the dungeon is changed.
  • Frostiz Tengu Dungeon: the placement positions in the last room are changed to make the start of the battle less random.
  • Korriandre Dungeon: the placement positions in the last room are changed to make the start of the battle easier.
  • Pet Dungeon: transformation into a pet is now lost for characters teleported out of the dungeon following the loss of their subscribed status.
  • Merchant mode is now forbidden in all dungeons.
  • Access to the Incarnam dungeon is limited to characters below level 31 or with the "Speleology" quest in progress.

Arenas: The starting positions in the Bonta and Brakmar arenas are changed to increase the difficulty of arena battles and balance the appeal of each arena map. We believe that arena battles should not systematically be easier than battles fought in dungeons. Maps and areas:

  • The holes located in the Frostiz Caves area no longer systematically pull in characters. This change simplifies crossing the caves and makes access to the Frostiz Tengu dungeon easier.
  • All the class temples are graphically reworked, and new maps are added to them.
  • The Amakna Castle area is entirely graphically reworked. New enclosures and houses are available.
  • Several interior maps in Amakna are improved: the Kanojedos, the bank, the pink house at the port, and a shop.
  • The distribution of monsters is changed in the Cania Plain and Sidimote Moor areas to better highlight their differences. The following sub-areas are changed:
    • Cania Circus
    • Cania Desert
    • Cania Lake
    • Sidimote Moor
    • Cania Moors
    • Cania Massif
    • Cania Peaks
    • Cania Plain
    • Rocky Plains
    • Rocaille
    • Brakmar Road

A Devblog article on this topic is available: [Devblog: Cra 2.3.4 balancing] Pets:

  • It's no longer necessary for a character to personally finish off a monster for their soul-devouring pet to be able to count the soul. This change simplifies the evolution of soul-devouring pets during group battles.
  • The Miniminotot pet can be resurrected from the NPC Oshimo in exchange for a Miniminotot Ghost and a Powder of Eniripsa.
  • Two new messages are added for pet management: when feeding your pet and it doesn't gain a bonus because it's underweight or obese, a specific message is displayed.

Books and Lore:

  • 14 new class books are now available! They are given on Incarnam by Aboukine Ganymede. Every character who completes the quest "Follow Your Path" receives the book corresponding to their class as a reward. Note that Aboukine also sells a few beginner manuals.
  • The famous Herdegrize makes his entrance into the World of Twelve. He's resting in Astrub, and has written a new work, "The Greatest Adventure of All Time…" pure Science-Friction.
  • A great spring cleaning was done across all the books and scrolls in the game: texts were corrected, layout was reworked, and revisions were made where certain information was outdated.
  • The text of the book The Time of Dofus, Fragments Rediscovered – Volume IV has been replaced with more appropriate text to complete the Fragments collection (the previous version was a copy of volume V).
  • The book Encyclopedia of Alchemy, Volume G: Guild Tax Collectors is removed (its content was outdated).
  • The book Angels & Demons changes title at the request of its author, and is now titled The Prophets, the Cults, the Faith.
  • The various "game manual" type books are revised and credited to their true author, Ganymede. They are now sold on Incarnam, Bonta, or Brakmar (depending on the volume) and are no longer given as quest rewards. This collection includes the works:
    • Beginner's Manual (new updated version of the Astrub Mercenary Manual, formerly credited to Badufron; the book is no longer given by Badufron);
    • Manual of the Perfect Recruit (two different editions, new versions of the Bontarian / Brakmarian Recruit Manuals, formerly credited to Amayiro and Oto Mustam);
    • Making Friends and Keeping Them (formerly credited to Acidrik Fenlapanse; the book is no longer given by Acidrik);
    • Note that the two volumes of Traveling Without Losing Your Way are no longer part of this collection, but are still present in the game; they have also been clearly credited to their true author, Wally Elconom.
  • Volume II of Traveling Without Losing Your Way is now available by completing the quests Unguided Tour and The Priest and the Head of Menalt, or through the Bonta and Brakmar libraries.
  • A few pages have been added to the work The DuCiel Family so readers can follow the thread of the story.

  • The NPC Armando Peule at the Masqueraider class temple now offers to unlearn a spell once you have at least 7 Masqueraider Dopplons.

  • The wanted-poster monsters Aermyne 'Braco' Scalptaras, Musha L'Oni, and Rok Gnorok can no longer be captured.
  • The quest "The Great Work" is modified to handle a possible attempt at learning Alchemy on Incarnam while the quest is in progress. In addition, if Alchemy training is started without starting Nibé Lulle's quest, Vid Cheber offers, before final validation, to restart this training from the beginning in order to be able to complete the quest.
  • Some dialogues related to the quest "Acidrik Fenlapanse's Book" are changed to remove the parts corresponding to the old tutorial.
  • The Dofawa given during the quest "Nowa's Ark" is no longer confiscated by Acidrik, so it is now possible to complete the quest while keeping the item.
