Improvements to the Incarnam and Astrub zones: The Incarnam zone has been completely reworked graphically. New scenery enriches the look of this zone and supports the quests that take place there. New interactive elements have been added, making it easy to consult important elements of Dofus lore. Some Incarnam and Astrub quests have been revised, and others added, to improve the gameplay experience for new players and make it easier for them to discover the game. Dungeon meeting point: NPCs located at a dungeon entrance can now teleport the members of their group directly to the dungeon entrance. Only characters who have a sufficient level and meet the dungeon's access criteria can teleport their group members and be teleported to a dungeon entrance. For example, it is not possible to teleport your group members in front of the Obsidian Tree's dungeon if they have not cleared the Royal Mansot's dungeon. A given character can only be teleported to a dungeon entrance once every 5 minutes at most. This system is not available on the Heroic server. We feel that this system would make it too easy to avoid the risks tied to travel on that server. Tactical mode: A new combat display mode shows the current map with minimalist scenery and highlights the cells that block movement and line of sight. A Devblog article is available on this topic. Creature mode: The "invisible" mode in combat is replaced by creature mode (already available outside combat), which makes it easier to tell targets apart while considerably simplifying target selection and identification.

  • All characters in creature mode have been reworked, improved, and optimized.
  • Monsters now have a generic creature appearance in combat.
  • Bosses now have a generic creature appearance in combat, distinct from that of monsters.
  • Incarnations now correctly use creature mode.
  • Characters on a Mount-Familiar now correctly switch to creature mode.

New enclosures:

  • 260 new enclosures are available in the following zones:
    • Amakna (16).
    • Amakna Castle (20).
    • Bonta (48).
    • Brakmar (52)
    • Frigost (96)
    • Otomai (28)
  • The random delay after server maintenance before enclosures and houses are progressively put up for sale is now between 4 and 24 hours.

Interfaces:

  • Archmonster names are displayed in bold when hovering over a group of monsters.
  • A keyboard shortcut now lets you display the names of all characters present on a map at once (except those hidden by a Camouflage potion).
  • Trades that would push an inventory's Kamas above 2 billion are automatically cancelled. The various inventories in the game that can hold Kamas can therefore no longer hold more than 2 billion Kamas.
  • It is now possible to use the mouse wheel to increase or decrease any field containing an editable numeric value (Kamas input fields or item quantity fields, for example).
  • The left side of the trade interface flashes when the other player changes the amount of Kamas or the items they are trying to trade.
  • The group interface has been improved: a new option lets you automatically decline all invitations to other groups. The two options related to the group system are now gathered in a context menu.
  • Character initiative is now correctly updated in the group interface and in the character sheet after an HP gain (during automatic HP regeneration, for example).
  • In the character sheet, current initiative and maximum initiative are now displayed.
  • Sending a link to an item in a private message without a space between the recipient and the item no longer disconnects the client.
  • Sending a link to an item in a guild channel using the "Alt + Enter" shortcut now correctly displays the item's link.
  • Notification handling has been improved: important notifications (invitations, for example) are now shown with priority.
  • Some tooltips were appearing above other interfaces; this issue has been fixed.
  • Sending a message to the group using the "Ctrl + Enter" shortcut no longer breaks recall of previous messages when using the sent message history.
  • The inventory can no longer default to displaying quest items when it was left open on that tab and is then opened alongside interfaces where viewing quest items is pointless (the trade interface, for example).
  • The search field available in the merchant mode configuration interface works correctly again.
  • Dragging and dropping a weapon in the equipment interface once again displays the orange outline on the destination slot to equip the weapon.
  • Sorting by category and subcategory in NPC shops now works correctly.
  • Items for sale in NPC shops are now sorted by price.
  • Buying quantities greater than 1000 of an item from an NPC no longer causes display issues with the total price.
  • Access to the Alignment, Shop, and Mount buttons is correctly grayed out during the tutorial.
  • In the spells interface, spells that are not yet unlocked (insufficient character level) are correctly grayed out.
  • When closing the subscription gift assignment interface, the associated recipes interface also closes if it had previously been opened.
  • The house and enclosure buy/sell interfaces now close correctly with the Escape shortcut.
  • Spells whose effect gained after a trigger is immediate now display a correct effect duration (for example, the Feca's Fraction spell when shown in the spells interface).
  • NPC dialogues that offer more than 5 responses now work correctly.
  • In the group interface, when hovering over a member who is being invited, the text is now correctly displayed in the client's language.
  • In the subscription gift assignment interface, the display of recipes associated with the item has been fixed.
  • Bottom bar buttons that shouldn't be accessible (the "Mount" button after releasing your mount, or the "Professions" button after unlearning all your professions, for example) are now correctly removed from the additional buttons menu.
  • Drag-and-drop handling for usable items has been improved for the item quick-access bar.
  • Item tooltips no longer display the "Conditions" section when it is empty.
  • In the quick-access bar, using the "Shift + click" shortcut on shortcuts now lets you insert a link to a spell or a shortcut in the chat interface.
  • The appearance of the medallion and the clock has been improved with the beige interface theme.
  • Separators have been added in character context menus to improve readability.
  • The game display quality selection interface (shown before the login interface) is now only displayed the first time the game is launched after clearing the client cache.
  • In the group search interface, the registration and invitation buttons are now correctly grayed out when they cannot be used.
  • In the advanced chat interface, tabs 3 and 4 are now set by default to contain the private message channel and the guild channel, respectively.
  • When logging in, subscription and ban durations are now replaced with the subscription end date or the ban end date.
  • The interface listing out-of-combat enchantments now displays correctly again.
  • In the group interface, the option to restrict fights to group members only is grayed out for all characters other than the group leader.
  • Conditions for equipping or using an item based on an alignment gift now display correctly again depending on whether the criterion is met.
  • Interfaces that can only be closed after a certain delay now work correctly again.
  • When a login fails because of the use of a banned IP address or a password reset, a message now indicates the cause of the problem.
  • The group interface now lets you choose to display either the normal group or the Kolizeum group.
  • The interface listing the changes made by an update is no longer displayed when the game starts. Update notes can now be viewed at any time directly from the game's launcher via a new button.
  • The red font used in the chat interface is now orange in the dark theme to improve readability.
  • In the central medallion, the interaction area for experience gauges is better defined, and the selected gauge stays displayed until another gauge is chosen.
  • After reconnecting during combat, resurrected characters' thumbnails have the correct size in the Timeline.
  • In the equipment interface, hovering over the empty amulet slot now shows the correct tooltip.
  • In the Zaap and Zaapi interfaces, destinations that are inaccessible due to insufficient Kamas are now grayed out instead of disabled.
  • Sorting in the interface showing ongoing fights on the map is now performed correctly. The display of fight duration is also updated when a new fight is added to the list.
  • In the auction house interface in buy mode, when an item is removed from sale while the purchase window is displayed, confirming no longer buys the previous item, but correctly cancels the purchase instead.
  • The experience gain formula used to display the experience to be earned from monster groups has been improved to better reflect actual experience gains.

World map:

  • The world map is now displayed at a higher resolution to improve readability.
  • An additional zoom level is now available on the world map.
  • Arrows are now displayed on the world map to indicate the direction of landmarks that are not visible.
  • It is now possible to change the zoom level and navigate on the minimap.
  • The Dark Vlad's Labyrinth is now correctly hidden on the world map.

Professions:

  • Miners can now polish stones starting at level 1, and the number of different usable ingredients increases the same way as for other professions (2 ingredients at level 10, 3 at level 20, 4 at level 30, 5 at level 40, 6 at level 60, 7 at level 80, and 8 at level 100).
  • Miners can now craft Perfect Soul Stones.
  • Shield Smiths now have a new skill that lets them forge Kolizeum trophies.
  • Crafters can no longer fail a recipe that had a 100% success rate (failures could occur in very rare cases).
  • A new filter is now shown in the inventory when the crafting interface is open. It only displays items that can be used in accessible recipes.
  • The organization of the skill list in the professions interface has been revised to reduce the number of truncated descriptions.
  • A descriptive text indicating a recipe's difficulty is now displayed when hovering over a recipe from the crafting interface.
  • It is now possible to learn several gathering professions on Incarnam.
  • The NPC Gilles Caper lets characters whose adventure and profession levels are below 31 forget the gathering professions available on Incarnam.

Auction houses:

  • Full Soul Stones (from regular monsters, Archmonsters, or dungeon Guardians) now bear the name of the main monster they contain rather than the item's generic name. This change works not only in auction houses but also in every inventory that can display Soul Stones.
  • The purchase interface for full Soul Stones has been improved to no longer display sales by lot but to show item names instead. A dedicated search field has also been added to make searches easier.
  • It is no longer possible to sell full Soul Stones (from regular monsters, Archmonsters, or dungeon Guardians) in lots of 10 or 100. This restriction is necessary for the new way Soul Stone auction houses work.
  • The button to show an item's theoretical rolls is now only displayed for items with variable rolls, and a second click switches back to showing the actual rolls.
  • In buy mode, selecting an item no longer automatically selects the first lot.

Breeding:

  • A new "Sterile mount" filter is available in the breeding interface. It only displays sterile mounts (those that have reached 20 fertilizations) as well as neutered mounts.
  • In the breeding interface, selecting a Dragodinde is no longer automatically changed when the stats of a mount present in the enclosure are updated.

Guilds:

  • The "Manage rights" permission is replaced by two separate permissions: "Full powers," which grants rights similar to those of the Leader (the same way the old "Manage rights" permission did), and "Pass on rights," which lets you grant and revoke only the rights you hold, with the exception of the "Pass on rights" permission itself.
  • In a character's guild rights interface, when choosing a rank for that character, only the leader can see the leader rank displayed.
  • In the social interface, in the guild member list, the tooltip showing last login now only appears for offline characters.
  • In the social interface, the guild's enclosure list is now sorted by zone seniority and subzone name.

Interactive objects:

  • Handling of interactive objects (harvestable resources, for example) has been improved: interactive objects now display a tooltip on hover showing their name and possible actions.
  • A single click is now enough to perform an action on an interactive object that only allows one interaction at a time. Harvesting wheat, for example, can now be done with a single click on the resource.
  • Interactive objects that allow several actions at once will always display a context menu to choose the appropriate action.

Quick equipment sets:

  • A character who uses a quick equipment set that contains neither a pet nor a mount is automatically dismounted.
  • The mount is now visible among equipped items and quick equipment sets.

Real estate agency:

  • Houses and enclosures that become available for sale again after being temporarily banned from sale now appear in the real estate agency listings.

Dungeon group search:

  • When a character registered in the dungeon group search invites another character also registered in the dungeon group search, both characters are now correctly removed from the group search list.

Quests: The quest log interface has been reworked, and overall usability has been improved.

  • Quests are now sorted by category in the quest log (Astrub quests, Incarnam quests, for example).
  • The number of completed quests is now displayed in the quest log.
  • The display of rewards in the quest log has been improved: XP and Kamas rewards are no longer shown in editable fields, and it is now possible to view an item's description and information via a left click on the item's icon.
  • The display of steps in the quest log has been simplified.
  • Quests tied to a dungeon now have a dungeon icon.
  • Quest names shown in the chat interface are now interactive and let you open the quest directly in the quest log.
  • Quest level is now displayed next to the quest name in the quest log.
  • An icon is now displayed above NPCs who let you validate an ongoing objective.
  • Quest icons displayed above NPCs are now shown in blue if the quest is repeatable.
  • By starting the new Devotion quests (available from class masters after completing the new main Incarnam quests), characters will gain the ability to use their god's statue in Astrub to teleport to their temple. They will also be able to return to Astrub from their temple via a large crystal. To teleport to a god's temple via a statue, a character must be of the corresponding class: it is therefore not possible to teleport to another class's temple this way.
  • The Incarnam and Astrub quests have been improved:
    • Most quests are now organized into series, and rewards are better balanced.
    • Several new quests have been added.
    • A few quests have been removed, either folded into other quests or replaced.
  • The "Devotion" quest is removed and replaced by a new quest specific to each class. Characters who had already completed the "Devotion" quest can do this new quest.
  • In some cases, the Bonta alignment quest "The Innkeeper Lady Cloude" was not validated after bringing the "Letter of Threats" to Amayiro; simply talking to Lady Cloude again now fixes the problem. This issue can no longer occur after the update.
  • Quest "Beer in Danger": some dialogues, as well as the names of characters and enemies to fight during the quest, have been revised.
  • Quest "Sanctification": Oshimo now refuses to validate the current objective if the character has several Chacha pets with them.
  • Quest "Gobbler's Crush on Gobrose": the sequence of quest objectives, as well as the blocking issue during the fight against the Pious, have been fixed.
  • Quest "The Latest Fashion": the Plain Cape crafted by Alit Elfminate can no longer be traded; a new one can be obtained from the NPC if the cape was destroyed.
  • Quest "Commando Operation": the landmark available in the quest log to complete the "Discover the Exoram Escape map" objective has been fixed.
  • Vulkania: Sea Crocodiles can now attack shellfish gatherers who do not have gathering tools equipped.
  • The NPCs Aboukine, Atape, and Avaule Ganymede have left Incarnam for a well-deserved vacation; they are replaced by Master Yakasi and Master Anemo.
  • The NPC Altair has retired (worn out by all the players who swear by nothing but the Bouftou dungeon); it is now Rotabla the sad shepherd who guards the Bouftou dungeon.
  • The NPC Ayme Tairnaile is now present on the Heroic server, but he does not offer a fatal quest for adventurers there.
  • A few clarifications have been made to the descriptive texts and dialogues of Master Pifo during the guided tutorial.
  • The various Kerubim Militiamen of Incarnam now have names to make them easier to identify.
  • The order of responses in the Otomai and Dopple Masters' dialogues about stat reset choices has been fixed.
  • Invalid trade offers proposed in the dialogues of NPCs Laura Soho and Linda Malibou have been removed.

Artificial intelligence:

  • Monsters can no longer get stuck at the edges of maps.
  • Handling of maximum spell stacking per target has been improved. For example, the Cra Dopple should no longer cast its Powerful Shot spell on its summoner if the summoner is already benefiting from the spell's effects.
  • Handling of spells whose stacking provides no benefit has been improved (Sacrifice or Spell Return effects, for example).
  • The AI correctly handles zero push damage when a target is in the "Invulnerable" state.
  • Handling of the negative effects of spell returns relative to the positive effects they bring has been improved. For example, a summoned Bouftou will now more often cast its Bruise spell on a target protected by a Spell Return.
  • The AI handles triggered effects more effectively. For example, monsters now avoid attacking enemies that could automatically kill them upon taking damage.
  • The AI now correctly handles the possibility of resurrecting several allies in the same turn. For example, the Glouricicle will be able to use its Little Brown Glouton spell several times in the same turn.
  • Handling of area-of-effect zones has been improved: monsters can now move more sensibly to increase the number of targets hit.
  • "Fearful" behavior has been improved: monsters with this behavior that cannot inflict negative effects on their targets due to resistances or spell return effects no longer switch to aggressive behavior.
  • Handling of pushing opponents so that monsters can leave a tackle zone has been improved. For example, the Rogue Dopple will be able to use its Boot spell on its opponents to leave a tackle zone.
  • Trap handling has been improved: monsters no longer place traps that they would trigger themselves by moving.
  • The AI now correctly uses all its available AP if it estimated it could kill a target in a single attack but fails to do so.
  • The AI now attempts to attack invulnerable targets if the attack can remove certain states. For example, summons correctly attack Kolosso while he is invulnerable if the attack can remove his invulnerable state.
  • Line-of-sight handling has been improved.

Dungeons:

  • Brumen Tinctorias's Laboratory:
    • Monster levels, HP, and experience have been revised to better match the dungeon's level.
    • The area of effect and effects of the Toxic Exhalation spell used by Nelween have been reduced.
  • Kwakwa's Nest:
    • The Kwakwa's HP has been increased.
    • The Kwakwa's resistances have been decreased.
  • It is no longer necessary to own the Pandala dungeon key to be able to resume a save of those dungeons.
  • Characters are no longer kicked from group search when they arrive on the entrance map of the following dungeons: Giant Kralamoure's Lair, Blop Dungeon, Skeleton Dungeon.
  • The Incarnam dungeon grid can now be opened by a single character.
  • The NPC Mamowa, guardian of the Pandikaze dungeon, now responds to characters who have a key ring but have not started the "Pandala: An Island Like No Other" quest.
  • The dialogues of some NPCs referring to dungeon key drops from monsters have been revised.

Monsters:

  • The respawn time and rate of the Archmonsters Purulent Serpistule, Scaratyn the Oyster, and Germinol the Indigent have been changed to match those of other Archmonsters.
  • Smith's Chest: the monster can now be captured.
  • Porkass Rider: the monster now has aggressive behavior.
  • Porkass Shepherd: the monster now has fearful behavior.
  • Chaferfu: the monster is now correctly oriented when playing its attack animation in the north-west direction.
  • Crocodaille Chief: the monster's power has been reduced.
  • Bwork Archer: the monster's power has been reduced.
  • Feca Dopple (temple): the "Dopple's Immunity" spell now uses the "Invulnerable" state, and therefore protects against poisons and push damage.
  • Sadida Dopple (temple): the "Dopple's Sylvan Power" spell now uses the "Invulnerable" state, and therefore protects against poison effects and push damage.
  • Rogue Dopple (temple): the level 20 and 40 monsters now have the Dopple's Detonator spell.
  • Masqueraider Dopple (temple): all spells are now animated.
  • Wild Dragodinde (Auburn, Almond, and Golden):

  • The appearances of Crackers, Legendary Crackers, and Crackballs have been improved and optimized.
  • The appearances of monsters in the Koalak family have been improved and optimized.
  • The spell animations used by certain Koalaks have been improved and diversified.
  • The appearances of Milimilous and Milimulous have been improved and optimized.
  • Viti Glouton:
    • The effects of the "Healing Honey" spell have been fixed. They now only last several turns on its allies, and immediate healing is weaker on Viti Glouton himself.
    • The vitality bonus of the "Colicky Honey" spell now correctly applies to Viti Glouton's allies.
  • The level of the Milirat found in the cellar of Grobid's tavern is now more consistent with the average level of Incarnam monsters.
  • Monster groups have been added to populate the new Incarnam Plains zone.

Pets and Mount-Familiars:

  • An equipped or unequipped pet can now be fed using a new interface accessible from the pet's context menu. This interface lets you filter all inventory resources the pet can eat (improvement potions and treats are not yet handled, however), and it also lets you feed several units of the same resource at once.
  • Soul-eating pets no longer feed on the souls of monsters killed when players are defeated or flee a fight.
  • It is now only possible to obtain a pet hormone at the end of a fight if the corresponding pet is equipped. The hormone drop rate has been increased accordingly.
  • The character's portrait now correctly appears in the central medallion even if the character is on a Mount-Familiar.

Experience:

  • The speed at which stars appear for monster groups is doubled. Monster groups now gain a 2% XP and loot bonus per hour. A monster group that is not killed can therefore reach a 5-star bonus (100% bonus) in 2 days and 2 hours, and a 10-star bonus (200% bonus) in 4 days and 4 hours.

Combat:

  • A team's initiative is now the average of the initiatives of the characters that make it up, instead of the highest initiative among the team's members. This change gives more importance to the initiative value of every combatant.
  • Characters level 100 or below can no longer attack characters whose level is more than 50 levels above their own (the reverse remains possible). This restriction limits the excessive use (mainly on the Heroic server) of low-level characters meant to split groups of characters in order to attack them separately (the well-known "split mules").
  • It is now possible, via a link in the combat log, to show again the cells targeted by players.
  • A new combat option lets you hide deaths in the Timeline.
  • A new option lets you hide summons in the Timeline.
  • The spells interface display is no longer reset during fights.
  • It is now possible to equip an item whose requirements a character does not meet during the preparation phase of a Prism defense fight, if the bonuses granted by the item allow the item's equip requirements to be met.
  • The message displayed to indicate that a character cannot be carried has been improved.
  • The effects of Masqueraider shield bonuses are now correctly displayed when hovering over a target's effects.
  • Effects of the "Skips the turn" type are now displayed in a target's effects list.
  • The interface showing ongoing fights on the map now lists fights by start date. Fights still in the placement phase are shown first.
  • Selecting a fight from the interface showing ongoing fights on the map is no longer reset when the fight list is updated.
  • A new option is available in combat options: it lets you display the distance in number of cells to travel, overlaid on the movement preview.
  • Characters transformed into a monster can now choose their starting position during the placement phase of fights.
  • After reconnecting, the cooldowns of spells whose duration is modified by a class item are now displayed correctly.
  • If a character on a mount is transformed, their thumbnail in the Timeline now updates correctly.
  • When the Timeline exceeds the size of the screen, if its size is suddenly reduced (due to the death of a summoner, for example, or activating a Timeline-hiding option), it is now displayed correctly.
  • When a character loses all their HP due to the dissipation of a Vitality bonus, they die instantly.

Display of a target's effects:

  • Grouping of effects in the interface showing the effects affecting a target no longer takes effect durations into account: several spells with different durations but stacked on the same target will therefore be grouped under the same icon. This change makes the display of effects and spells affecting a target easier to read.
  • The name of a spell's caster is now displayed when hovering over an icon in a target's effects interface.
  • The caster of a spell is now automatically selected when hovering over that spell's icon from a target's effects interface.
  • The tooltip grouping all active effects when hovering over the button that hides active effects has been improved to display a summary of stacked effects. Effects are grouped by type regardless of their caster or duration. To make these effects easier to read, they are grouped into several categories: positive effects, negative effects, active bonuses (usable during the target's turn), and passive bonuses (usable outside the target's turn, such as protections or vulnerabilities, for example).

Handling of spell effect durations: The handling of spell effect durations has been completely reworked. All spell effects are now counted down at the start of the caster's turn instead of at the end of the target's turn. This change provides consistent and fair spell durations for spell effects active outside the targets' turn (protections or vulnerabilities, for example). As a result, a target's position in the Timeline no longer affects the duration of the effects it receives. Restorative Orb: A Restorative Orb is given to all subscribed accounts and former subscribers. Spells: Spells that grant vitality bonuses (Backlash, for example), shield points (Breastplate, for example), or that deal damage based on life as a percentage (Punishment, for example) no longer take temporary vitality bonuses or maluses into account. Only maximum life is taken into account. Sadida:

  • The teleport interaction via the gods' statues in Astrub is now indicated by a text shown when hovering over the statues.
  • Incarnam's 2 fountains of youth can now be used by characters below level 31.
  • Most teleport potions can no longer be used in Incarnam, with the exception of Recall potions.
  • When teleporting onto a map, using a Recall potion for example, trying to use a targetable item no longer causes an exception or a black screen.
  • Handling of Kamas transfers greater than 2 billion has been improved.
  • The cost of Zaaps in Incarnam is divided by 4.
  • Automatic buyback of low-priced items (below the NPC resale price) by militiamen has been disabled.

Optimizations and performance:

  • The quick equipment system has been optimized to reduce the amount of data transferred between the client and the game server.

Information:

  • The Kolizeum system is not available in this update; it requires further testing. It can be tested on the test server. We will keep you informed once we know the activation date for this feature on the live servers.
  • The tracking system is not yet disabled; it will be once the Kolizeum system is activated. Pevetons will still be tradeable with NPCs for several months after the tracking system is disabled.
