Temporis is a chance for you to explore the World of Twelve in a new light, with new rules. For the volunteer Game Animation Team, it's also an opportunity to run events with different goals, and therefore different methods!
Temporis: a server unlike any other!
On the classic servers, the animation team runs events fairly occasionally, at well-defined moments. On Temporis, the goal is to offer a continuous atmosphere that lasts until the servers close, and to make players feel the impact of parchomancy in the daily life of the World of Twelve's inhabitants.
The Advent of the Parchomancers, a world of magic
The Advent of the Parchomancers plunges players into the heart of a conflict between three groups that emerged with the appearance of mysterious scrolls: the Twelvian Inquisition (hunting heretics), the Committee of Magic (unlocking the scrolls' secrets), and the Liberating Order of the Twelvian Religious Yoke, along with the merchant guild it supports, Ras el Mulout (making a fortune through trade).
So how exactly will this work?
The animation team's interventions take several forms: atmosphere messages scattered across the world, NPCs exclusive to Temporis IV, roleplay scenes, investigations and puzzles, and events both large and small. There are over 113 atmosphere messages to find.
F.A.Q.
What is there to win? Exclusive spells distributed only by the Animation Team, small purses of kamas, and blessings. The spells distributed don't provide any real combat advantage.
Do I keep my event rewards after Temporis ends? You won't keep your rewards. However, you can receive Tokens that will be converted into Sharivatons at the end of the server, which you'll be able to assign to the server and character of your choice.
How do I take part in events? Events are announced in advance on the Official Forum and on Twitter. For roleplay scenes and small-scale events, the team simply drops by whenever they have a free moment.
Are there rewards for those who find the atmosphere messages? Yes (see a dedicated thread for details).
Why not announce your events in advance with a server message? A server message would easily reach 600 people, which is very hard to manage and requires a lot of resources. By announcing on Twitter and the Official Forum, the team makes sure that those who want to take part can, while keeping the audience a manageable size.
What about the classic servers? The team keeps running events on the classic French-speaking servers, including Ilyzaelle and Jahash.
I'm in Canada with a 6-hour time difference, will there be events late enough in the evening for me to take part? Some Game Masters run events late in the evening. Investigations, puzzles, and hidden challenges are also accessible at any time.
How often will events happen? No guaranteed frequency, but the goal is to run at least one per server per week, especially at the very start.
Will you be running events on all servers? All French-speaking and international servers; the Spanish-speaking server is handled by our Spanish colleagues. The team runs events in English on the international servers.
Could the Temporis events' storyline be reused for events on the classic Dofus servers? The stories developed are specific to the Temporis servers and only make sense because of parchomancy, so it would be difficult to transpose them to the classic servers.
Is it possible to attend an event on another Temporis server and ask for the rewards to be transferred? It's possible to attend an event on a Temporis server other than the one you play on, but the rewards will not be transferred.
April 3 edit
Following the issues encountered, the animation team has not yet been able to run events on the Temporis servers. Atmosphere messages have been installed in the meantime.
